Primavera TV presents the live shows that Interpol, The Flaming Lips and Explosions In The Sky performed at the last edition of San Miguel Primavera Sound in the Parc del Fòrum of Barcelona with a selection of three tracks from each band in HD format.
The Flaming Lips show on the first day of concerts in the Parc del Forum was one of the most talked about during the rest of the festival - not only by the audience, but also by the other artists. The image of Wayne Coyne making his way through the audience inside a huge see-through ball with a multi-coloured stage in the background seemed to be designed to capture the hedonism of the edition in one instant. He himself said that he would remember that day as special and that the line up of PS 2011 was, until then, the best line up in the history of all festivals.
Something similar, but in black and white, happened on the Llevant stage with Interpol. When the audience responded to songs like "Slow Hands" it is easy to see that this New York band still know how to remain close to their audience without losing their dark and cold edge.
Explosions In The Sky is a band that has not stopped gaining popularity. They make new fans while retaining their old followers. Their post-rock knows how to shout passionately to the people at the back and how to whisper intimately to the people on the front row. They don’t leave anyone out.
A playlist of videos of a large number of the artists who are part of the line up of San Miguel Primavera Sound 2012 is also available. Over the next few weeks many more concerts from San Miguel Primavera Sound 2011 will be available for viewing such as the concerts of Einstürzende Neubauten, Mogwai, Papas Fritas and Suicide.
