After the two extraordinary sold out gigs at La Riviera in Madrid, The xx have confirmed a date in Barcelona. The concert will take place on the 2nd May next year in the Poble Espanyol square, a venue worthy of the band’s live spectacle.
Three years after releasing a debut album that made them stars, the British trio is coming back with a new album called “Coexist”, an album in which they evolve without losing that very particular style that distinguishes them from their peers in the United Kingdom.
After releasing “xx” the trio got the thumbs-up from the critics and it earned them popular success, at the same time Jamie xx was making a name for himself as a DJ and producer which has led him to remix Adele and to collaborate with the recently deceased Gil Scott Heron on what was one of the records of 2011. The influence of Jamie’s production on “Coexist” is palpable, and combined with Romy and Oliver’s composition they manage to make this new collection of tracks another certain hit.
