PRIMAVERAPRO AND IMO PRESENT A CYCLE OF CONFERENCES DURING SAN MIGUEL PRIMAVERA CLUB

PrimaveraPro will participate for the first time in San Miguel Primavera Club and in collaboration with IMO (International Music Observatory) will organise a series of free talks open to the general public of the festival.

The programme will analyse the current state of live music on the Barcelona and Madrid scenes from the perspective of some of its key players. At the same time, there will be presentations about international live music circuits in order to identify inspiring models. The aim is to find solutions through debate to some of the challenges that the live music business faces today.

The debate will open in Barcelona on Wednesday 5th December with a talk on the evolution of live music in the city, followed by a round table where musicians, promoters and managers sharing their impressions and experiences on international music circuits.

The cycle will continue on Friday 7th in Madrid with two meetings in which, on the one hand, the development of live music in the capital will be debated and, on the other hand, models relevant to the music industry in other countries will be discussed.

The programme will be rounded off with a meeting of several representatives of the Madrid music industry, in what will be the starting point for a process of observation that will join the global research of IMO (International Music Observatory). Since 2011 this organisation has been analysing the music sector in different local contexts on an international scale.
