gabi mentioned on twitter that there will be more confirmations in the first week of march.

A member of one of the bands is an amateur runner and has even run a marathon, what band are we talking about?

Clues:
1-He/She has been featured in athletism magazines.
2-The band will perform in both San Miguel Primavera Sound and Optimus
Primavera Sound.

ok, so i read the contest wrong, wasn't for a band yet to be announced, the answers were Death Cab or Baxter Dury

At the drive in are back for the money. Presumably fiberfib have deeper pockets than Primavera and were able to get them by waving the cash at them.

As you noted, it's very disappointing.
